Our team

“In our system... the teacher has two tasks: to lead the children to concentration and to help them in their development afterwards... His task is to give the child the opportunity to develop his intimate strengths and to become master of himself...The greatest sign of success for a teacher is to be able to say, 'The children are now working as if I did not exist.'" Dr. Maria Montessori

Dr Yousra Bouzid

Founder and Director

I am Yousra, the founder and director of Montessori Small World.

I am responsible for the proper functioning of the school, the proper application of its educational project and the well-being of your children.

Holder of a master’s in business studies, a Master in Management and Strategy and a PhD in Management from La Sorbonne, I have a professional career both as a rofessor and research scientist at the University of Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne and as an International Officer at the Organization of United Nations for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO).

Very sensitive to the right to education, I have been a volunteer for UNICEF since I was 17 and I am the founder and president of a humanitarian association in France whose mission is to help children access to education in developing countries.

Fascinated and convinced by the Montessori pedagogy discovered when my son was 2 years old, I followed at the Institut Supérieur Maria Montessori (ISMM) the training courses of "Montessori school director", "Welcoming children from 0 to 3 years old" and "Welcoming children from 3 to 6 years old".

Passionate about art, reading, nature and cultures, I ensure the daily application of related activities, both at school and at the Montessori Small World club.

Mrs Alicia Nemo

French-speaking AMI Montessori Guide

I am Alicia, the French-speaking guide of Montessori Small World.

I have the pleasure of supporting your children daily in their development and well-being. Holder of a master’s in modern literature on contemporary poetry, I was a classical theater actress and dancer. These practices gave me a taste for high standards, precision of gesture and the right word. My artistic past carries my practice as an educator to open children to the development of their will, their concentration and to the awakening of their creativity, unique and specific to each one.

I have also written children's albums, the five books of "Ma bibliothèque Montessori", published in La Librairie des écoles in 2016.

In 2014, I joined a team of founding parents in the creation of a Montessori school for 3-6 years. It was a revelation for me, which allowed me to see my children flourish in the Montessori pedagogy and to still see the fruits of this education as they grow up.

I then decided to become a Montessori guide and I had the chance to be trained at the ISMM center in Roubaix.

I practiced in a 2–3-year Montessori environment, then in a 3-6-year one, before joining Montessori Small World at its opening, to practice this pedagogy as closely as possible to the principles discovered by Maria Montessori and according to an ever finer observation of the child and his sensitive periods.
